Shropshire camp site and fishery is set in an Area of Outstanding Beauty, offering the chance to relax in beautiful surroundings whether you are pitching up on the meadow, Have a glass of wine a campfire and toasted marsh mallows .
Two Shepherds huts are romantically set on the site, 1 overlooks the lake which has carp of up to 20lbs, try and catch them or watch them jump whilst enjoying a glass of wine. The other is overlooking the open landscape and the Wenlock Edge.
Shropshire, is renowned for it's Secret Hills, some of the best open, varied and unspoilt countryside, as Salopians we are proud of our county and all it has to offer.
The Longmynd and Stretton Hills are only only 20 minutes from the site, from the best vantage points you will literally feel you are on top of the world , on a clear day you can view large tracts of Shropshire and way beyond into neighbouring counties,The Stretton Hills are owned by the National Trust , and have provided various walks.
With the market towns of Shrewsbury, Ludlow, Church Stretton in close proximity, the excellent Ludlow Food Centre merely a few miles away to the South, be sure to a sample our local amenities and produce.
There will not be a day spent idly (unless you want to!) with local tennis, bowling grounds at Church Stretton.
The historic town of Ludlow , the architectural delights of castles , Iron Bridge and it's museums , Acton Scott working farm (as seen on TV) is a only a short distance away within walking distance.
Due to the to secluded location of this Shropshire campsite, you will be away from noise,
air pollution , light pollution, let your mind drift to a galaxy far far away and sleep in a 5million star location , which has foot paths running through the site the site leading to some of England's finest countryside.
Nothing is more calming than those lazy, hazey, sunny days, chilling out in the countryside The sight and sound of the birds , the flitting of colourful dragonflies hovering over the lake, (something akin to Jurassic Park), sitting by your own camp fire (logs and fire surround supplied extra), relaxing with friends or family... larger groups are more than welcome including D O E, Scouts, Guides, Forces, Cadets. We believe that camping in Shropshire is the fastest way to achieve total relaxation - don't just take our word for it, try it and you'll be back time and again!
